Measure, annotate and save exposure reports.
Two independent photography apps
Ruta Meter.
Ruta Foto.
Use either. Connect both.
Ruta Meter measures light. Ruta Foto organises places and photographic ideas. Each app is useful by itself; together they preserve the complete story of a photograph, from exposure to location.
Map, organise and revisit photographic ideas.
Carry the exposure report into the location notebook.
App 01 - Works independently
Ruta Meter
A film-oriented light meter that shows how illumination changes across the frame, not only one average number.
- 9 or 24-area Simple maps; 70 or 140-area Pro maps
- Film stocks, working EI and Film Range Guide
- Hold, yellow annotations and saved reports
- ND compensation, reciprocity and long-exposure timer

App 02 - Works independently
Ruta Foto
A native field notebook that turns reference photographs into organised places, visual ideas and routes worth returning to.
- Field map with clusters and nearby photographs
- Visual cards with notes, film, camera and priorities
- Searchable photo and place libraries
- Focused walks built from the area and time available

Optional connection
Two complete apps.
One stronger workflow.
You never need both apps. But when both are installed, Ruta Meter can pass a saved exposure report to Ruta Foto so the technical reading stays beside the location and the photographic idea.
Measure
Use Ruta Meter to read the scene and save film, EI, aperture, shutter, annotations and optional GPS.
Connect
Send one report, or link a film roll so Shots wait locally without taking you away from the meter.
Remember
Ruta Foto keeps the report beside your map location, field notes and plan for a future visit.
The connection is included with Ruta Meter Free. Free can hand off its daily saved report; Pro adds unlimited saved reports and handoffs. The transfer is optional and local, not cloud synchronisation, and no Ruta account is required.
